The sun had already set when the walls stretching along the Huda Grounds at Leisure Valley, Gurugram, began reverberating to the tectonic beats of DJs, including KSHMR, Nucleya and Jai Wolf.

Setting the stage for KSHMR’s “Karma” tour, the Sunburn Arena gave Delhi’ites a perfect taste of Electronic Dance Music.

Fabricating beautiful sonic blends and trying to bring the best of Asian and the Middle Eastern into contemporary European and North American dance styles, KSHMR left the audiences grooving.

Also referred as the “Prince of Cinematica”, the former pop producer has taken the EDM world by storm with his emotive performance-led productions that translate into epic live shows, that take the audience on a visual and auditory journey into the world of KSHMR.

Ranked Number 12 on DJ Mag’s 2016 list of top 100 DJs, KSHMR has been making India proud by taking his heterogeneous sounds to different parts of the world.

Performing live, KSHMR tries to give a whole new touch to his live sets, with a team of musicians and an indigenous traditional dance troupe accompanying him, embracing his Indian heritage and bringing a taste of India to the global giant festival.

“I attribute a large part of my success to India and the country has always held a special place in my heart. This is my first tour in India ~ a homecoming of sorts and a moment I’ve long waited for. I plan to give people an experience that reflects just how important it is to me. This show is a huge honour for me because it will also address poverty, especially the children. They are the window of time through which we may leave some good beyond our own,”

The city left no chance to witness music reverberating from heart to heart and the atmosphere was filled with chants of “Once more!” Nucleya, one of the most popular artists, who has appeared on the panorama, also performed at the Sunburn Arena.

“Abhi Dilli ke log thake toh nai na?”, the DJ asked the crowd (whether they were tired), as he kept on playing his desi beats echoing from his large electronic sets till the last minute. The DJ performed his popular numbers and remixes that included “Let’s nacho”, “Jind mahi” and other hits. “I am experiencing EDM for the first time and this is pure bliss,” said Mayank Pasricha, a resident of Rajouri Garden.

“We have waited for months. I am a huge fan of Nucleya. With these kinds of events, I believe most of our youth will get to know more about DJs and electronic music, which is important.”

The famed DJ/producer performed with a live orchestra and the event was also set to raise funds for the organisation CRY: Ensuring Lasting Change For Children. The benefit show is the first of a six-city Indian tour for KSHMR, who will be joined by Jai Wolf.

The tour will run through Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
