Michael Jackson biopic unveils mesmerizing first look

Michael Jackson, the legend who passed away nine years ago, will always be remembered as the irreplaceable ‘King of Pop’. The huge fan-following MJ still commands across the globe and his stardom is incomparable. India, too, admires and adores the pop star even after almost a decade of his death.
On the 60th birth anniversary of Michael Jackson, let’s look back at the time he visited India and declared it his “special love”.

But how did Jackson come to India? Much to everyone’s surprise it was Jackson’s team that proposed a performance by the pop superstar in India.
It was the year 1996. A fax from MJ, which was first taken as a prank, was received by Viraf Sarkari, founder of Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
On 30 October that year, Jackson landed in Mumbai. Scores of his overwhelmed fans lingered around the airport to catch a glimpse of the legend.
His concert was a massive success with a mammoth crowd of 5,000 people in attendance. However, what people remember about Jackson more than his performance is his humility and kind gestures.
Before leaving India, Jackson penned down a beautiful note addressed to India and his fans here. He penned the message on a pillow which he had used during his stay at the iconic Hotel Taj.

Here is what the note read:
“India, all my life I have longed to see your face. I met you and your people and fell in love with you.
Now my heart is filled with sorrow and despair for I have to leave, but I promise I shall return to love you and caress you again.
Your kindness has overwhelmed me, your spiritual awareness has moved me and your children have truly touched my heart. They are the face of God.
I truly love and adore you, India. Forever, continue to love, heal and educate the children. The future shines on them.
You are my special love, India. Forever, may God always bless you.”
