Sony Pictures dropped the trailer for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ on Wednesday morning, and fans couldn’t get enough. In just 24 hours, the trailer racked up a mind-blowing 718.6 million views, making it the biggest trailer in history.
Yes, you read that right. ‘Spider-Man’ just shattered all records.
Breaking records like they’re glass
Previously, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ held the crown with 365 million views. But ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ hit 373 million views in only eight hours, already surpassing ‘Deadpool 3’, which had made headlines when it released during the 2024 Super Bowl.

And if you thought ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ was unbeatable with 355.5 million views in its first day, think again. Holland’s latest Spidey adventure has rewritten history.
Even video games weren’t safe: last year, the trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI broke the video trailer record with 475 million views in 24 hours. Spider-Man just ‘webbed’ that record too.
Sony knew fans were hungry for new Spidey content, teasing tiny snippets a day before the full release.

With Destin Daniel Cretton at the helm as director and a script from Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, it promises action.
