Reese Witherspoon has always been more than just a Hollywood star. She’s a storyteller, a producer, and now, a mentor determined to help the next generation of women find their voice in the industry.

The 49-year-old actress, known for her roles in ‘Legally Blonde’ and ‘Walk the Line’, recently spoke about her passion for guiding young female talent. In an interview with ‘E! News’, she shared how mentorship shaped her own journey and why she now feels it’s her turn to give back.

“Mentorship is everything,” Reese said warmly. “I just had lunch with my mentor yesterday. She was such a huge part of my life in my 20s. She guided me through big decisions, both in my career and personal life. Women need to connect in real life, share their experiences, and learn from each other. Sometimes just one piece of advice can really change your path.”

That spirit of support is at the heart of her company, ‘Hello Sunshine’, which focuses on female-led stories. Recently, Reese introduced five new mentees to the ‘Hello Sunshine Collective’. This is a program to nurture emerging women creatives in entertainment.

“Hello Sunshine was never just about me,” she explained. “It was always about passing the microphone or shining a light on another woman and her accomplishments. The Collective is simply an extension of that idea.”

Over the years, Witherspoon’s company has produced several acclaimed projects, including ‘The Morning Show’ and ‘Daisy Jones & The Six’, both celebrated for their strong female characters and storytelling.

Looking back, Reese said she never imagined her production house would grow into such a powerful creative community. “I think my younger self would be in amaze,” she laughed. “She’d love what Hello Sunshine has become. I was always searching for connection, for ways to celebrate my friends and other women. I think that curiosity, wanting to understand women’s stories, is what brought me here.”
