Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio is looking back on his time working with the legendary actress Diane Keaton, following the news of her passing.
The Oscar-winning actor, now 50, shared an emotional post on social media to honor Keaton, with whom he starred in the 1996 film ‘Marvin’s Room’. The movie also featured big names like Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro.
Posting a throwback photo from their time together on set, DiCaprio wrote on Instagram Stories, “Diane Keaton was one of a kind. Brilliant, funny, and unapologetically herself. A legend, an icon, and a truly kind human being. I had the honor of working with her when I was 18. She will be deeply missed.”
In ‘Marvin’s Room’, Keaton played Bessie, the caring aunt of DiCaprio’s rebellious teenage character, Hank. The movie told a moving story about family, love, and forgiveness.
DiCaprio’s tribute shows just how much he admired the late actress, not only for her talent but also for her warmth and individuality. Keaton, best known for her roles in classics like ‘Annie Hall’, ‘The Godfather’, and ‘Something’s Gotta Give’, left an unforgettable mark on Hollywood through her unique charm and timeless performances.

Interestingly, Diane Keaton herself had once shared a sweet and funny moment involving Leonardo DiCaprio on social media. Back in November 2021, she posted a video on Instagram celebrating “male beauty.”
Among the photos she included was one she believed showed a young Leonardo DiCaprio.
“Talk about beauty, Leonardo DiCaprio,” Keaton said in the voiceover of the video. “Give me a break. I knew him when he was a kid.”
But fans quickly noticed something amusing. The photo she had posted wasn’t Leo at all. Reese Witherspoon commented on the post to clarify, “Diane, the first one is my son.” The picture was actually of Witherspoon’s then 18-year-old son, Deacon Phillippe.
The mix-up sparked laughter across social media, with Keaton replying to Reese’s correction with a surprised emoji, while Reese responded with a laughing one. The exchange became a lighthearted viral moment.
