Actor Kelley Mack, who appeared in popular TV shows like ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘9-1-1’, has passed away at the age of 33. She died on August 2 in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. Her family confirmed that she had been fighting glioma, a form of cancer that affects the central nervous system.
Kelley had a passion for storytelling from a young age. Her love for acting began when she was gifted a small video camera on her birthday.
Born and raised in Ohio, Mack completed her schooling at Hinsdale Central High School in 2010. She later graduated from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film in 2014 with a degree in cinematography.
Her first major recognition came when she starred in ‘The Elephant Garden’, a short film that earned her an acting award from the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. That same film went on to win the Student Visionary Award at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2008.
In ‘The Walking Dead’, Mack played Addy, a member of the Hilltop community during the ninth season of the show. While her role wasn’t long-running, it left a strong impression on fans of the series. She also had a guest appearance in ‘9-1-1’, a popular emergency services drama.

Apart from acting, Kelley was a storyteller in other ways too. She worked as a screenwriter alongside her mother, Kristen Klebenow. Together, the mother-daughter duo co-wrote several full-length film scripts.
One of their projects, ‘On The Black’, was set in the 1950s and centered around a college baseball team. The story drew inspiration from Mack’s own grandparents, who had studied at Ohio University.
Kelley Mack is survived by her family, who have asked for privacy as they deal with this loss.
