The much-anticipated Keanu Reeves-starrer comedy ‘Good Fortune’, directed by Aziz Ansari, is all ready to hit theaters in India on October 17.
Reeves plays Gabriel, a well-meaning but slightly clumsy angel. Speaking about his character, Reeves said, “Gabriel thought he could make a difference by showing people glimpses of their future. But along the way, he realizes that life is really about the connections we have with friends and loved ones, and that these bonds give true meaning to our lives.”
Aziz Ansari, who also produces the film, shared how Reeves came on board. “When Keanu Reeves’ name came up, I was stunned. He is such a huge star. The moment I met him, I knew he was perfect for Gabriel. His interest in the role brought the character to life, making him funny, lovable, and unique.”

The story of ‘Good Fortune’ revolves around Gabriel’s attempts to meddle in the lives of two very different humans: a struggling gig worker and a rich venture capitalist. What starts as a simple heavenly lesson about money soon turns chaotic.
Alongside Keanu Reeves, ‘Good Fortune’ features Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari, Keke Palmer, and Sandra Oh. The team behind the camera is equally impressive, with producers Anthony Katagas and Alan Yang joining Ansari, and executive producers including Aniz Adam Ansari and Christopher Woodrow.
‘Good Fortune’ made its first public appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6. It received positive buzz for its quirky storyline and star performances.
Now, Lionsgate’s comedy is coming to Indian audiences through PVR INOX Pictures.
