Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, stars who made Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark household names, are stepping back into dystopian world that made them famous. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the duo will appear in the upcoming prequel, ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.’
Set 24 years before the original story, the prequel explores the dark and dangerous world of Panem long before Katniss and Peeta became tributes.
The story will focus on a young Haymitch Abernathy, the mentor we all know and love, as he faces the games at the age of 16. The character of Joseph Zada, the younger version of Woody Harrelson’s Haymitch, will also be central to the plot.
While the exact roles of Lawrence and Hutcherson in this prequel remain under wraps, fans can expect some thrilling surprises. Are they playing mentors? Or making cameo appearances? The mystery has only added to the excitement.

The film will be directed by Francis Lawrence, who also helmed the last four entries in the original ‘Hunger Games’ series.
