Fans attending Billie Eilish concert in Manchester on Saturday got more than just a live performance, they became part of something potentially historic. The Grammy-winning singer paused her set at Co-op Live to share a surprising announcement: she’s collaborating with legendary filmmaker James Cameron on a 3D project.
While Eilish didn’t go into specifics, she did hint that something unusual was happening behind the scenes.
“You’ve probably noticed there are more cameras around tonight than usual,” she told the crowd, addressing the buzzing energy in the venue. “I can’t say much, but I ‘can’ tell you that I’m working on something very special with someone named James Cameron, and it’s going to be in 3D.”
The revelation drew cheers from the audience, but Eilish kept most of the details under wraps. She did, however, drop one quirky fact: to maintain continuity for the filming, she’ll be wearing the same outfit for all four nights of her Manchester shows.
“So yeah, if you see me in this exact outfit every night, that’s why,” she said, playfully acknowledging the unusual wardrobe decision. “Also, James Cameron is somewhere in the audience tonight, just so you know.”

The announcement has sparked a wave of speculation among fans and media alike. Could it be a concert documentary? A music video with immersive visuals? Or perhaps something entirely new that blends music and film in a way only James Cameron and Billie Eilish could imagine? For now, the details remain a mystery.
James Cameron, known for groundbreaking films like ‘Avatar’, ‘Titanic’, and ‘The Terminator’, is no stranger to pushing the boundaries of filmmaking technology, especially in 3D.
This isn’t Billie Eilish’s first venture into filmed projects. In 2021, she released the Apple TV+ documentary ‘Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry’, offering fans an intimate look at her life and career. That same year, she followed it up with ‘Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles’, a stylized concert film.

But teaming up with a director of Cameron’s caliber signals that she may be stepping into an even more ambitious creative space.
Eilish is currently in the middle of her ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ world tour, supporting her third studio album of the same name. The tour began in September 2024 and has already covered major cities in North America and Australia.
After wrapping up the Manchester leg, she’s going to perform in Japan before returning to the United States for the final shows. Her tour will conclude on November 23 at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
At just 23 years old, Billie Eilish has built a career that thrives on breaking the mold, whether it’s through her haunting melodies, genre-defying albums, or visually stunning performances.
With hits like ‘Bad Guy’, ‘No Time To Die’, ‘Happier Than Ever’, and ‘Your Power’, she is popular for reinventing what pop music can look and sound like.
