Rock band Aerosmith will hit the road in Europe next spring for their Farewell tour.
Following the group’s recent tour of South America, the Aero-Vederici Baby! tour will begin on May 17 in Tel Aviv, Israel and include 17 dates before wrapping up on July 5 in Zurich, Switzerland, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The itinerary includes stops at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 8 in Salvesborg, the UK’s Download Festival on June 11 in Donington and the Firenze Rocks Festival on June 21 in Florence, Italy.
Aerosmith’s members began talking about the idea of the farewell tour last year, although lead guitarist Joe Perry earlier said, “We’ve talked about it over the years. Frankly, starting a tour that says ‘the final tour’ is OK, but to think there’s going to be a last Aerosmith gig? That’s a little tough for me to wrap my head around.”
“I mean, we all know our age is creeping up on us, but, man, we’ve tried to follow the lead of the original blues guys and the early rockers and just keep playing ’til we drop, y’know? We all have different feelings about it. I do have a feeling that there’ll be a tour that we’ll call the final tour — but when will it end? That I can’t say.”
