The first look poster of Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Saand Ki Aankh is out.
The poster features the two of them, aged, holding guns in their hands, wearing “ghagra-lugdi” sitting (and standing in the other poster) on a mound with a green field in the background.
Saand Ki Aankh is based on octogenarian sharpshooters, Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law Prakshi Tomar from Uttar Pradesh. Having learnt shooting at 60, both go on to win more than 700 medals at the state and national level championships. Both are referred to as Shooter Dadi and Revolver Dadi.
Bhumi plays Prakashi Tomar and Taapsee enacts the role of Chandro Tomar. The poster also carries a tagline, “Tann Budhha hota hai, mann nahi hota”.
Sharing the film’s poster, Taapsee Pannu wrote: “They may be old, but their aim is sure-shot gold! Here’s the first look poster.”
Pednekar introduced the “Shooter Dadis” with the tagline: “They are fun, they are full of love. They are the Shooter dadis of India. Proud to be a part of their journey.”
Creative producer of the film Anurag Kashyap also shared the film’s first look on social media.

Taapsee Pannu had earlier shared that the role was one of the most difficult roles of her career. She was apprehensive about how she was going to deliver it and had said she was working on it every day.
The film also marks the first-time collaboration for Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar. Saand Ki Aankh also marks the directorial debut of writer Tushar Hiranandani, and will be produced jointly by Anurag Kashyap and Nidhi Parmar.
Saand Ki Aankh was originally titled Womaniya but renamed since the latter was already registered with Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd.
The film will hit the screens this Diwali.
