Actor James Franco, who has acted in and is also the producer of the sitcom “11.22.63” — based on a high school teacher who travels back in time to prevent John F. Kennedy’s assassination — says it was eerie when the cast and crew had to shoot in Dallas, where the actual assassination took place.

The science fiction thriller miniseries is based on the book by the same name, penned by by Stephen King.

“It was incredible. It was eerie being there. And they have done it there before (versions of Kennedy assassination that actually shot in Dallas), but ours has its own little twists and turns, so it felt like revisiting but also that we were doing something new that had not been done before,” Franco said in a statement.

“But like any movie or project that you go to the actual place, it resonates with something. We did “Milk” and we shot in the actual place where Harvey Milk ran his campaign, and the same thing with Dealey Plaza. It still retains something of what happened,” he added.

“11.22.63” is aired on Zee Cafe every Wednesday.
