Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone features on the cover of the September issue of the prestigious Elle magazine which is celebrating the icons of change.
Padukone, who shared her looks from the magazine on social media, is seen sporting a retro look.
It is for the first time that the magazine has issued two covers for the same issue meant for the Indian market.
Elle shared the cover images on Instagram along with snippets from an interview with the 32-year-old Padukone, “We weren’t a family that watched too many films. Dad was an athlete. Growing up, my siter and my childhood was all about school, playing outside..And it;’s strange, but every time i watched them [the films], I felt like this is what I’m going to be doing. Even though there was no film connection,” says our #September cover star @deepikapadukone. #TheSeptemberIssue hits the stand on September6.”

The picture is a reminder of the old world glamour complete with the iconic winged eyeliner and over-the-top hairdo. Padukone looks stunning in a black Saint Laurent dress with padded shoulders.

For the next cover, the diva opted for an off-shoulder cream-beige Fendi dress. And Ranveer Singh commented on her picture captioning it as “Queen!”
Apart from Deepika Padukone, the issue also features Lisa Ray, Michael Kors, Shantanu and Nikhil, Farah Khan Kunder, Ma Anand Sheela and Diet Prada.
