Tarana actress Shyama passed away today (November 14) in Mumbai. She was aged 82.
Shyama was known for her versatile roles in movies like Aar Par, Tarana, Barsaat Ki Raat and many more. She started her career in the industry with Zeenat in 1945 and has more than 170 movies to her credit.
She was given the name Shyama by director Vijay Bhatt. She was also awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for the film Sharda.

Shyama got married to cinematographer Fali Mistry in 1953 and the couple had two sons and a daughter.
Fali was a noted cinematographer and was known for his work in Dev Anand starrer Guide. He left for heavenly abode in 1979.
Reportedly, the cremation took place in Marine Lines at 2.30 pm.
