Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma starrer Zero – this week’s only release – has managed to earn a decent amount at the Box Office despite unfavourable reviews. One of the much-anticipated films of the year, Zero couldn’t meet the expectations of the audience on an opening day.

The romantic drama, directed by Anand L Rai, had a lot of interesting elements in the story to pull the moviegoers to the theatres. But despite being released on 4380 screens on a holiday season, the film minted only Rs 20.14 crore on the first day. The coming weekend, which is extremely crucial, might work in favour of the film when it comes to Box Office collections or, as some have said, only a Christmas miracle can save Zero.

Revealing the first day collections of the film, trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh, wrote on Twitter, “Zero has underperformed on Day 1, despite extensive release [4380 screens] + Christmas vacations… Saturday and Sunday business extremely crucial… Friday Rs. 20.14 crore (India business).”

Meanwhile, the audience shared their verdict on the film on social media. The reviews of Zero by the critics and the viewers don’t look good. Check out some of the reactions here:

Zero deals with a love triangle which involves Shah Rukh Khan as Bauua Singh, a vertically-challenged man, Anushka as Aafia, who is suffering from cerebral palsy, and Katrina Kaif in the role of an alcoholic film star.

The film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Colour Yellow Productions, and Gauri Khan. Starring Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan, Zero released on 21 December 2018.
