Amazon MGM Studios India has dropped the trailer of its new film ‘Nishaanchi’, and it is already sparking buzz. The film promises a heavy dose of action, comedy, and drama: all the flavors that make an Anurag Kashyap movie stand out.
But apart from the high-energy trailer, there’s also a quirky detail about the filmmaker himself that connects directly to the film.
In real life, Anurag Kashyap is fondly called ‘Rinku’. The funny coincidence is that in ‘Nishaanchi’, actress Vedika Pinto plays a character who is also named Rinku. This led to some light-hearted moments on set.
Every time someone shouted “Rinku,” both Anurag and Vedika would respond, leaving the cast and crew laughing. This inside joke became one of the most memorable parts of the shoot.

While that’s a fun fact, the film is also making headlines for introducing Aaishvary Thackeray in a strong debut. He is stepping into the big league with not one, but two roles in this movie.

The cast also features some well-known faces from the industry. Alongside Vedika Pinto and Aaishvary Thackeray, the film stars Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra.
‘Nishaanchi’ is produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh under the banner of Jar Pictures, with Flip Films as a collaborator. The writing team includes Prasoon Mishra, Ranjan Chandel, and Anurag Kashyap himself.
From what the trailer reveals, the film is going to explore themes of bullets, betrayal, and brotherhood. This is a classic Kashyap mix.
