A new curtain raiser of the film Pad Man has been released by the team and Akshay Kumar is back with a bang-on performance. The release date of Pad Man has been pushed to 9th February from 26th January due to controversies over the film Padmaavat.

The video opens with a wonderstruck Sonam Kapoor trying to cope with the fact that a man can be so obsessed with chumming, as menstruation is commonly called.

Pad Man’s curtain raiser also features snippets of a new song Ladki Sayani Ho Gayi that hasn’t been released by the makers yet.

A festival scene in Akshay’s village where an adolescent girl getting her first period is being celebrated with a dance by Radhika Apte, wife of Akshay Kumar in the film, with other village women.

There are also several glimpses of the UN in which Akshay Kumar addresses at the conference. He makes comparisons between pads that cricket batsmen wear for protecting their legs while to the sanitary pads women wear while menstruating.

Let’s have a look at the Curtain Raiser:

Lakshmikanth, the role played by Akshay Kumar, not only wins the hearts of the listeners but also proves his point.
