It was supposed to be just another film event. But what happened on Sunday turned into a full-blown emotional moment that left everyone in the room quietly watching Aamir Khan in a completely different light.

The superstar, known for his calm and controlled public appearances, couldn’t hold back his tears at a special gathering for his upcoming film ‘Ek Din’. And yes, this was real, raw, and a little unexpected.

People in the audience noticed immediately. Cameras caught the moment, and the mood in the room shifted.

But Aamir didn’t stay quiet for long. He walked up on stage and surprised everyone by singing a song from ‘Ek Din’.

And then came the praise.

Aamir openly called Sai Pallavi “the best actress we have in our country today.”

When it came to his son, Aamir kept things light. With a small smile, he said, “Junaid ne bhi acha khasa kaam kiya hai.”

About ‘Ek Din’

Directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Mansoor Khan, Aamir Khan, and Aparna Purohit under Aamir Khan Productions, ‘Ek Din’ is shaping up to be an emotional romantic drama.

The trailer, released on Thursday, gives a glimpse into a soft love story filled with hope and a hint of magic.

Junaid plays a shy, awkward young man who quietly falls for Sai Pallavi’s character; a cheerful, full-of-life girl working in the same office. While she moves through life with ease, he struggles just to start a conversation.

But the story doesn’t stay simple.

A major twist takes the characters to Japan, where Sai’s character meets with an accident and develops Transient Global Amnesia (TGA). In a surprising turn, she forgets everything, except Junaid, the man who saved her life.

The film marks Junaid Khan’s second big screen outing after ‘Loveyapa’, while it also introduces Sai Pallavi to Bollywood audiences for the first time.

‘Ek Din’ is set to hit theatres on May 1, 2026.
