Vikrant Massey wins National Award for Best Actor for ‘12th Fail’

Vikrant Massey receives National Award


Vikrant Massey has won the prestigious National Award for Best Actor for his powerful performance in the film ’12th Fail’. He received the award today at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

In ’12th Fail’, Vikrant brings to life the story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, a man who rose from extreme poverty to become an IPS officer.

’12th Fail’ is a 2023 Hindi-language biographical drama in direction, writing, and production of Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film draws inspiration from Anurag Pathak’s 2019 non-fiction book of the same name. Alongside Vikrant, the film features Medha Shankr, Anant Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Priyanshu Chatterjee.

It tells the story of Sharma and Shraddha Joshi Sharma, an Indian Revenue Service officer, and highlights how ordinary individuals can achieve extraordinary goals through perseverance and hard work.

Looking ahead, Vikrant is preparing for his next major project, ‘White’, a historical drama biopic where he plays spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
