Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has officially wrapped up filming for his upcoming movie ‘Border 2’, a war drama directed by Anurag Singh. The film is going to hit theatres on January 23, 2026.
To mark the completion of his shoot, Varun celebrated on set with a cake-cutting ceremony. He was joined by co-star Medha Rana, director Anurag Singh, producer Bhushan Kumar, and the rest of the team.
The team wrote on Instagram, “Varun Dhawan wraps his schedule for #Border2… a heartwarming on-set celebration followed by a special visit at the Golden Temple in Amritsar.”
Varun also visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar to seek blessings after finishing his part in the film. He shared the team’s post on his Instagram story and added a heartfelt note: “Thank you Bhushanji, Shivji, @nidhiduttaofficial, @binnoykgandhi and @anurag_singh_films for making me a part of your dream. Eternally grateful to play this character. #Border2”

He also posted a few pictures from his time in Punjab, where he’s enjoying the peaceful village life. Wearing a plain white kurta-pyjama, Varun posed in open green fields and looked completely at ease in the natural setting.

Varun has been regularly updating fans about ‘Border 2’ on social media and seems deeply connected to the role he’s playing in this film.
Earlier, singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh also completed his shoot for the movie. A video shared on his social media showed him happily distributing sweets to crew members and villagers, expressing his joy and gratitude before leaving the set.
Directed by Anurag Singh, ‘Border 2’ brings back Sunny Deol in a lead role and promises a strong ensemble cast. The film is a sequel to the 1997 hit ‘Border’.
