Stand-up comedian-turned-actor Sunil Grover has bagged the biggest role of his career. In Salman Khan’s forthcoming film Bharat, Grover will be seen essaying the role of his friend.

According to a report in The Indian Express, a source close to the actor said, “Sunil Grover will be playing Salman Khan’s friend in Bharat. His role is not like what we see in another films where comedians are used for a couple of comic punches and then they disappear. He has an interesting role in the film.”

This is not the first time that the comedian will be seen in one big budget Bollywood film as he was also seen in successful films like Gabbar is Back and Baaghi.

However, starring in a film with Salman is a sure shot success and a guarantee to elevate your stardom.

Grover, who is seen in the cricket comedy show Dhan Dhana Dhan, left the hit comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show when he had that infamous brawl with Kapil Sharma, which led to many of the other stars’ departure as well.

Bharat is an upcoming film based on Korean film An Ode to My Father, and will mark the comeback of Priyanka Chopra to Bollywood.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat is scheduled to release on Eid 2019.
