Even as legendary actress Sridevi’s mortal remains are likely to reach Mumbai today, Arjun Kapoor has headed to Dubai to join his father Boney Kapoor, who is waiting there for the release of Sridevi’s body.
Sridevi’s family is expected to meet the Dubai Public Prosecutor. It is reported that after the public prosecutor’s clearance, her body could be embalmed. Sridevi’s body is currently at the morgue.
Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s families are awaiting clearance letter from the Dubai Public Prosecution. The Indian Consulate told Khaleej Times that the Indian Consulate was assured that the police were following usual protocols and were not delaying the process of repatriation.

The Dubai Police has recorded the statement of producer-husband Boney Kapoor. Sridevi died in Dubai by accidental drowning in her hotel bathtub after losing consciousness.
Boney was called to the Bur Dubai police station for questioning. The police took his statement after which he was allowed to return to his hotel.
Dubai Police have transferred the case to Dubai Public Prosecution, which will carry out the regular legal procedures.
The police said that there was no clear criminal motive with regard to her death; neither did she suffer a cardiac arrest like it was reported earlier.
A formal medical committee, under the supervision of senior police officials, is supervising the investigation.
Sridevi’s mortal remains are expected to be released later on Tuesday after blood and organ test results are out.
