According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, SKTKS earned Rs 5.17-crore on Monday (February 26) thus taking the total collections of the film to Rs 31.74-crore.

If reports are to be believed then the film has surpassed the lifetime collections of many films like Aiyaary and Kaalakaandi in just four days of its release.

Interestingly, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has also emerged as the third highest weekend grosser after Padmaavat and Pad Man, something that other films with A-list actors and acclaimed directors failed to achieve.

It’s truly a proud moment for the entire team of SKTKS and now they are eying for Rs 40-crore mark in week one.

Director Ranjan has proved yet again why you don’t need A-list actors or huge production costs to make a successful film.

The film has opened to rave reviews with many praising Sonu (Kartik), Titu (Sunny) and Sweety (Nushrat) for stealing the show with their performances.

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety was released worldwide on February 23.
