Ajay Devgn is back with his turban, swagger, and a fresh serving of madness in ‘Son of Sardaar 2’, and the newly released trailer delivers exactly what fans have been waiting for.
The nearly three-minute trailer kicks off by throwing us back into the quirky world introduced in the 2012 hit ‘Son of Sardaar’. It reminds us of the feud-driven Punjabi village drama that turned Jassi’s (Ajay Devgn) life upside down.
But this time, the action moves to Scotland (yes, bagpipes meet bhangra) and Jassi is once again caught in a tangle that’s as ridiculous as it is hilarious.
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the sequel features a powerhouse ensemble cast including Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia, Sharat Saxena, Sahil Mehta, and a bittersweet appearance by the late Mukul Dev.

The plot? Classic chaos. Jassi and his love interest, played by Mrunal Thakur, take on the role of fake Sikh parents to help a young couple (featuring Roshni Walia) get married.
Seems simple, until they meet the boy’s father, played with guns-blazing gusto by Ravi Kishan.
What follows is a high-speed rollercoaster of mistaken identities, Punjabi one-liners, and laugh-out-loud moments. Ravi Kishan and Ajay Devgn face off in scenes loaded with comic timing, while Mrunal Thakur seems to have nailed the desi-Punjabi girl vibe.

Vindu Dara Singh drops one witty line after another, serving nostalgia to fans of the original. Meanwhile, Mukul Dev’s character becomes a surprising emotional anchor.
Known in the first film for his comic struggle with the English language, his presence in the trailer adds a heartfelt nod to his contribution to the franchise.
Ajay shared the trailer on social media with the caption: “Action! Emotions! Confusion ka bhandaar. JASSI is back, aur iss baar sab kuch double hai!”
‘Son of Sardaar 2’ is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande, and is all set to hit the theatres on July 25, 2025.
The original ‘Son of Sardaar’, directed by Ashwani Dhir, featured Sonakshi Sinha opposite Ajay and revolved around an ancestral feud that spirals into slapstick mayhem.
