Anand L Rai’s Zero, which saw a downfall initially, picked up pace on Christmas. The festive occasion has worked well for the romantic drama as the Shah Rukh Khan film saw a rise at the Box Office. On Tuesday, Zero minted Rs 12.75 crore, which pushed the total collection nearer to the Rs 100-crore mark.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared Box office figures on Twitter.

“#Zero witnessed growth on Day 5 [#Christmas]… Day 6 [Wed] and Day 7 [Thu] biz crucial… Fri 20.14 cr, Sat 18.22 cr, Sun 20.71 cr, Mon 9.50 cr, Tue 12.75 cr. Total: ₹ 81.32 cr. India biz,” he wrote.

The film had a lot of buzz ahead of its release but eventually couldn’t meet the expectations of the audience. With the unconventional characters that Zero introduced, hopes were high for the film. The storyline deals with a love triangle involving SRK’s Bauua Singh, a vertically-challenged man, Anushka’s Aafia, who is suffering from cerebral palsy, and Katrina Kaif’s character of an alcoholic film star.

Zero is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Colour Yellow Productions, and Gauri Khan. The film hit the screens on 21 December 2018.
