Television actor Ankita Lokhande, who is making her Bollywood debut with Manikarnika: The Queen on Jhansi, is gearing up for the release of the film. She will be playing the role of Jhalkaribai, a soldier who rose above the rest in Laxmibai’s army and became the queen’s friend and prominent adviser.
In an interview to Times of India, the actress said she wouldn’t mind working with Sushant Singh Rajput again. “As an actor, I have no choice. If the script is good, I will definitely work with him.”
Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita met and fell in love with each other while working together in television serial Pavitra Rishta. The two split in 2016 after dating each other for almost six years. Ankita is now dating Vicky Jain, a businessman from Bilaspur.

In another interview to Bombay Times, Ankita confirmed her relationship. Asked if they had wedding plans, she responded, “If it happens, I will let you know and invite you for the wedding. I can’t say anything right now, but there are no such plans, yet. I am just focusing on work at the moment.”
Sushant also wished Ankita good luck when her first look from Manikarnika came out. “It looks absolutely great Ankita. I’m extremely happy to see this. May God bless with lots of success and happiness,” he has posted on Instagram. She replied: “Thank you Sushant and I wish You the same.”
Ankita’s Manikarnika, which stars Kangana Ranaut in the lead, releases on January 25. On the other hand, Sushant is gearing up for the release of Sonchiriya, opposite Bhumi Pednekar, on March 1.
