Record 13 lakh bookings for Chardham Pilgrimage in eight days
The State Tourism Department called it a sign of record breaking flow of pilgrims to the four shrines as the pilgrimage season is scheduled to start on May 10.
Sara Ali Khan is almost two weeks away from making her debut in Bollywood, alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath. Before the release, the makers have given the audience a sneak peek of the debutante’s character Mukku.
The 25-year-old actress is essaying the role of a young, confident girl, who lives in the religious city along with her parents.
Mukku’s father whom she calls ‘panditji’ runs a hotel in Kedarnath. Mukku and her father clearly aren’t on the same page when it comes to the idea of marriage as the promo reveals.

Mukku, who seems quite rebellious questions everything and doesn’t hold back from giving her opinion.

Earlier, Abhishek Kapoor praised Sara by calling her “a perfect actor to work with.”
Speaking about how she is calm and composed on the sets, he said, “I am a crazy guy on the set, I can scream because I have a schedule, a budget I have so much to pack in. I get really agitated and want things done and she just looks me in the face and says, ‘Okay sir can you please explain it to me again’ and even when I am screaming she will have a level tone and as the kind of director I am she is a perfect actor to work with. I feel really privileged to introduce her in Kedarnath.”
Directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by RSVP and Guy In The Sky Pictures, Kedarnath carries the tagline, “Love is a Pilgrimage”. The film is all set to release on December 7.
