Reacting to a court verdict on Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who has been sentenced to five years in jail, a hopeful Subhash Ghai said the actor still has hope.
The 49-year-old actor was convicted on Wednesday of all charges, including culpable homicide not amounting to murder, in the 2002 hit-and-run case, by Additional Sessions Judge DW Deshpande in Mumbai.
“We all respect the court verdict on Salman Khan but we all in the film fraternity know that Salman is an excellent human being and has done extraordinary community services too,” the filmmaker who teamed up with Salman in Yuvvraaj said.
“Now he can apply for bail and justice in higher courts. That is the beauty of the judiciary system. Let’s wait and watch. I sincerely pray for him because I know him closely as a good person and a compassionate thinker,” the filmmaker added.
