Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming period drama ‘Padmavati’ has created quite the buzz among all movie buffs. After seeing Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s first look on social media, Raza Murad too took to Facebook to share his first look.

However, the post was taken off the social media site by the veteran actor himself within few hours of uploading it. The actor who will slip into the shoes of Jalaluddin Khilji gave out some spoiler alerts too along with the picture, which makes a probable reason for him to delete the post. Although, the damage had been done by then

He had written, “This is my look in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s ‘Padmavati‘. I am playing Jalaluddin Khilji who was the first ruler of Khilji dynasty in India. He ruled India (1290-1296) for six years and was killed by his paternal nephew and son in law, Alauddin Khilji, who took over the throne after killing his uncle and father in law. Ranveer Singh has played Allaudin Khilji. ‘Padmavati’ is obviously Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor is Rawal Ratan Singh, Ruler of Chittor, Deepika’s husband. The film would be released on 1st December, all over the world.”

Earlier, Ranveer Singh had also revealed his menacing look as the tyrant ruler Alauddin Khilji. Social media went into a frenzy on seeing this avatar of his.

Padmavati, set in the early 1300s, is based on the life of Rani Padmavati and her husband, Raja Ratan Singh, and Alauddin Khilji’s infatuation with the queen.

The film features Deepika Padukone in the titular role with Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer as the male leads in the film.

The makers and the actors of the film are making sure that they live up to the hype generated among the fans by releasing the first look posters of the film.
