Superstar Rajinikanth’s hugely anticipated film 2.0, which also stars Akshay Kumar, has finally got its release date. The film is now set to release on November 29, avoiding a clash with YRF’s Thugs of Hindostan starring Aamir Khan.
The official announcement regarding the film’s latest update came on Wednesday morning when the makers of the film finally announced the release date of their ambitious project on social media.
The makers also released a new poster of 2.0. The poster looks scary. It features a computerised eagle which is somehow related to Akshay Kumar’s character.

Earlier, it was reported that 2.0 will be clashing at the box office with Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan. Making this one of the biggest clashes in the history of cinema, the makers of both films were keen on settling for different dates. However, if rumours are to go by, Aamir was adamant about shifting the release date of his film as it was closest available one to Diwali.
Now, with two of the most awaited films of the year set to release in the same month on different dates, the box office will be set on fire in November.
2.0 also stars Amy Jackson and will be directed by Shankar. The film will release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
