Ajay Devgn’s Raid has packed a solid punch at the box office and has emerged as the second highest earner at the box office during the weekend in 2018.

Raid, a film loosely based on true incidents of 1981 in Lucknow, opened to strong word of mouth and positive reviews.

The film has done an impressive job at the box office in the first weekend and has even surpassed the collections of some of the highly anticipated films of 2018.

According to the trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, Raid collected Rs 41.01-crore in its first weekend and dethroned Pad Man from the second spot.

Raid‘s first weekend collections are also better than many of 2018’s much awaited releases like Aiyaary, Pari and Kaalakandi, and has already surpassed their lifetime collections in just three days.

The film’s business certainly picked up over the weekend after a mediocre opening day.

The day wise collections of the film are as follows;

Friday: Rs 10.04-crore

Saturday: Rs 13.86-crore

Sunday: Rs 17.11-crore

Undoubtedly the business of the film is at glance and now it’ll be interesting to see how the film performs in its first week with no major competition at the box office.

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid featuring Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla in the lead roles was released worldwide on March 16.
