Alia Bhatt’s latest film Raazi continues to spread its magic at the box office as the film has collected Rs 39.24 crore in just four days. And what is more interesting is that the film has passed the crucial Monday test with flying colours.

Owing to its strong word of mouth and positive reception from both the fans and critics Raazi has performed considerably well than some other films of 2018.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Raazi has earned Rs 6.30 crore on its first Monday thus taking the total four day collections of the film to Rs 39.24-crore.

After having one of the best opening weekends of 2018, Raazi successfully passed the crucial Monday test, which means that the film has kickstarted its opening week on a positive note.

Interestingly, Raazi‘s four day box office collection has surpassed the lifetime collections of many Bollywood releases of 2018 like Aiyaary and Kaalakaandi.

Another noticeable thing about the films exceptional run at the box office is the fact that despite the intense competition from Hollywood’s titan Avengers: Infinity War and Umesh Shukla’s light hearted dramedy 102 Not Out the film has managed to stay in the competition.

According to various trade pundits, Raazi is expected to close its opening week business on a figure more than Rs 50 crore and will most probably step ahead to go for the Rs 75-crore mark in the second weekend.

The film starring Alia is based on the best selling spy novel Calling Sehmat and narrates the story of a Indian girl, who is apparently an intelligence officer, married into a Pakistani family.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Raazi, also starring Soni Razadan, Vicky Kaushal, Rajit Kapur and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles was released worldwide on May 11.
