Back in 2008, the two were on a vacation in Paris, when Saif picked out the courage to propose Bebo in one of Paris’ popular bars. But much to his and everyone’s surprise, Kareena rejected his proposal with a straight ‘No’.
Well, that didn’t let Saif down from winning the heart of his ladylove as after a few months, the couple again met in Paris and after proposing Kareena for a second time, the actor replied “Yeah of course”!
Really? But what actually made Kareena change her mind is actually endearing.
We all know that Saifeena was a couple right from the moment the two actors fell for each other on the sets of Tashan and when Saif sported his first tattoo — Kareena. But the couple was not so keen on to make their relationship official post Kareena’s breakup with ex-beau Shahid Kapoor.
Co-incidentally Saif’s father Tiger Pataudi too had proposed Sharmila Tagore in Paris, while she was shooting ‘An Evening in Paris’. And Kareena couldn’t say no to her man right where his parents confessed to their feelings for each other.
In one of her interviews Kareena revealed: “The first time when Saif proposed me, I think we were at a bar. I said a straight No. But the second time when he proposed me on the same trip we were at the Notre Dame Church. That time I couldn’t say No to him. In fact, his father proposed to his mother also in Paris when she was shooting for ‘An Evening in Paris’. And we were on a holiday in Paris as well and I was just like, Yeah, of course.”
