Pravina Deshpande cause of death revealed: ‘Ready’ actress dies at 60 after battling multiple myeloma since 2019

The screen just went quiet. The lights are still on, the camera is still rolling, but one familiar face has suddenly disappeared forever. Actress Pravina Deshpande, who recently appeared in the web series ‘Taskaree’, has left fans stunned with her sudden demise. The news broke on 17 February.

The update came directly from her family through her Instagram account. Pravina Deshpande passed away on 17 February 2026 at the age of 60. She died in Mumbai after battling multiple myeloma, a type of white blood cell cancer.

She had been undergoing treatment since 2019 fighting quietly while continuing to stay connected to her craft. Sadly the illness finally took her away.

She was cremated on the same day in Andheri, Mumbai. The actress is survived by her husband and two children.

For years, Pravina Deshpande had been battling blood cancer away from the spotlight. Many in the industry did not even know the seriousness of her condition.

Even during treatment, she remained emotionally strong and professionally committed.

The wish that stayed unfulfilled

Her last appearance was a cameo in the Netflix web series ‘Taskaree’, which also featured actor Emraan Hashmi.

After the release, Pravina had publicly praised director Neeraj Pandey on social media. She had expressed her heartfelt wish to work with him again.

That dream, however, will now remain incomplete.
