He created hysteria with the Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic MS Dhoni – The Untold Story. Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey is now all set to release his first short film.
Titled Ouch, the movie stars Manoj Bajpayee and Pooja Chopra in the lead role.
A 15-minute humorous film, it has a real take on ethics and throws light on the righteous ways.
Revolving around the story of two lovers, Vinay and Priya, the film focuses on how their passion has brought them to a point where they have to take a call on their relationship status.
Interestingly, that’s the point when Vinay gets hit with an “ouch” moment.
Premiered at the JIO MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, the director seems to have a great start to his new endeavour.
“The story of Ouch is an amalgamation of human emotions and feelings. As the story unfolds, it is interesting to see what a man and woman who are having an affair outside of their marriages do or not do to be with each other,” Neeraj said, adding, “I approached the story with a contemporary Indian outlook. As a filmmaker, it is very important to be able to showcase your work freely.”
Sharing her experience, actress Pooja said, “I was to work with Neeraj on Baby but unfortunately that didn’t fall into place. I’ve always admired his body of work and I have immense respect and admiration for him as a filmmaker and more as a person.”
Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films’ has delivered the movie.
