Media reports say that Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has been investigating a massive drug syndicate allegedly linked to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. In light of this, Nora Fatehi has broken her silence, firmly denying any connection.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Nora wrote, “FYI I DON’T go to parties… I’m constantly on flights… I’m a workaholic, I don’t have a personal life… I don’t associate myself with people like that… Please refrain from using my name and image on situations that have absolutely NOTHING to do with me! This will come with a heavy heavy price! Respectfully.”
According to reports, the probe revolves around notorious drug lord Salim Dola, said to be operating from Dubai and closely linked to Dawood Ibrahim. Dola allegedly ran an international network distributing mephedrone commonly known as M-Cat or Meow Meow.
Authorities say the network was not limited to India; parties abroad were also reportedly supplied with drugs.
The investigation gained momentum after Taher Dola, Salim Dola’s son, was extradited from the UAE in August. During questioning, Taher reportedly revealed that Bollywood actors, models, rappers, filmmakers, and even some of Dawood’s relatives attended parties where drugs were allegedly used.
Mumbai-based Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh, allegedly close to Salim Dola, has also come under the scanner. ANC’s remand papers submitted before the Esplanade Court on Thursday claim that Shaikh hosted lavish parties, some of which were reportedly attended by Alishah Parkar, son of Dawood’s late sister, Haseena Parkar.
Investigators allege that these parties became a hub for distributing drugs among high-profile social circles.
