The Ritesh Batra’s directorial will have its World Premiere at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival taking place between January 23 and February 2 and will have its European Premiere at the 69th Berlin International Film running from February 7-17.
Sharing the news, the filmmaker took to Twitter on Thursday and wrote, “Hello all, ‘Photograph’ will be screened at the #Berlinale2019.”

Nawazuddin also shared a picture featuring his co-star Sanya and expressed his excitement. “Super Excited to inform you all that after being officially selected at the prestigious #SundanceFilmFestival2019 my film #photograph will also be screened at the #berlinale2019 Thank You @riteshbatra for doing this wonder & @sanyamalhotra_ for being a wonderful part of this,” he wrote.
Photograph will mark Ritesh Batra’s second collaboration with the talented Nawazuddin Siddiqui and first with Sanya Malhotra who is currently riding high on the success of her latest outing Badhaai Ho.
The film revolves around a struggling street photographer played by Nawazuddin, who is pressured to marry by his grandmother. To get out of it, he convinces a shy stranger to pose as his fiancee.
It also stars Farrukh Jaffar, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Vijay Raaz, Jim Sarbh, Akash Sinha and Saharsh Kumar Shukla in key roles.
