Kartik also posted a photo where he is holding a clapboard with the film’s name and director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba’s details. In his caption, he connected the shoot’s start with the anniversary of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, writing, “1 year of #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 Day 1 of #Naagzilla Har Har Mahadev.” He also revealed the movie’s release date, 14 August 2026, which is right before Independence Day.

The buzz around ‘Naagzilla’ began earlier this year when Kartik shared a dramatic motion poster giving viewers their first tease of his look. At that time, he wrote a humorous line saying that people had seen enough stories about humans, and now it was time to enjoy a snake kingdom story.

‘Naagzilla’ also marks Kartik’s second film with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The actor and the production house are already working together on another romantic drama titled ‘Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri’. That film starring Kartik in a lead role will hit cinemas on 25 December 2025.
