A sweet behind-the-scenes story is quietly stealing the spotlight from the spooky laughs of ‘Bhooth Bangla’. Actor Mithila Palkar has revealed that landing the film was not just another career move, it was an unexpected opportunity that came thanks to a recommendation from Kalyani Priyadarshan.
Mithila took to Instagram and shared a cheerful video featuring director Priyadarshan, along with a caption that instantly caught fans’ attention. She admitted that she had never imagined herself being part of this project.
According to her, the seed of the idea came from Kalyani, who casually mentioned Mithila’s name to her father.
In her note, Mithila wrote that she felt deeply grateful for the opportunity. She called Kalyani “a girl’s girl” and thanked the director for trusting her. She also said being part of Priyadarshan’s film universe felt “priceless.”
The actress ended her message by thanking audiences for the love showered on the trailer and said she couldn’t wait for viewers to watch the film.

Soon after, Kalyani responded in the comments, and her reaction was refreshingly simple. She clarified that she didn’t do anything major, she only told her father that she was a fan of Mithila.
In the movie, Mithila will be seen playing the sister of Akshay Kumar. The recently released trailer has already created buzz.
“Bhooth Bangla” also marks a special moment because it reunites Priyadarshan with Akshay Kumar after 14 years. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures, along with Akshay Kumar’s production house Cape of Good Films.
The movie brings together strong ensemble including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajesh Sharma, and the late Asrani.
The makers have already announced that the film will have paid previews starting April 16 at 9 pm, followed by its full theatrical release on April 17, 2026.
