Toronto expected a dream evening. Fans dressed in their finest, hearts full of excitement gathered to see Madhuri Dixit perform live at “Dil Se… Madhuri”. For many, it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime chance to watch the “Dhak Dhak” girl light up the stage.
The night turned into a storm of complaints, angry social media posts and questions about what really went wrong. Was it a concert? Was it a talk show? Why did Madhuri arrive so late? Who was at fault? The audience wanted answers.
And now, the event organisers have finally spoken.
True Sound Live Ltd., the company behind the event, has now put out a detailed statement clearing their side of the story. According to them, everything was planned perfectly and ran on time at least from their end.
The company said the show started exactly as scheduled, with a high-energy opening act by singers from ‘Indian Idol’. They shared that Madhuri’s part was planned for later, first a Q&A session at 8.30 PM, then a 60-minute performance.

So what happened? Why did Madhuri walk in around 10 PM?
The organisers said the delay happened because Madhuri’s own management gave her the wrong call time. They insist that their team was ready and waiting but the actress arrived late due to internal confusion in her circle. They also stressed that this delay was completely out of their control.
To calm the criticism, they encouraged fans to watch videos from the night that show Madhuri performing on stage claiming it proves they delivered what they promised.
The event took place on November 2 at Toronto’s Great Canadian Casino Resort. Right after it ended, social media exploded. Several attendees said they expected a lively concert, not long chats and late performances. They felt the night didn’t match their expectations, and many demanded refunds.
Some were upset at the organisers. Others blamed Madhuri for being late. Many simply felt heartbroken, after all, she is one of Bollywood’s most loved stars, and expectations were sky-high.
