War film Kesari, starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra, has got a final release date and it’s just months away. The team has meanwhile wrapped up the shooting for the film.

Till now all we have seen were a few posters released by the makers.

On 17 December, actress Parineeti Chopra shared the first look featuring both the lead actors. Akshay and Parineeti can be seen dressed in ethnic Punjabi attires, with the former donning a huge turban.

“And it’s a wrap for #Kesari…a film which swells up my chest with immense pride. Get ready to witness the bravest battle ever fought on 21st March 2019,” Akshay wrote on Instagram.

The film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which 21 Sikhs fought to the death against 10,000 Afghans in 1897.

Earlier, Akshay shared the first poster on the anniversary of Saragarhi battle on social media.

The film stars Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra as the lead actors. The film will be produced by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films and Reliance Entertainment. It is scheduled to release on 21st March 2019.
