Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan is all ready to take fans down memory lane with a special moment on the upcoming episode of the popular quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. The 82-year-old superstar will be recreating a classic scene from his 1973 blockbuster ‘Zanjeer’, alongside veteran writer Javed Akhtar and his son, filmmaker Farhan Akhtar.

A promo released by Sony Entertainment Television on Instagram shows Amitabh on the iconic hotseat with Javed and Farhan.

The megastar is delivering one of ‘Zanjeer’’s most famous lines: “Jab tak baithne ko na kaha jaaye, sharafat se khade raho. Yeh police station hai; tumhare baap ka ghar nahi.”

The post was captioned: “Dekhiye Kaun Banega Crorepati Mon – Fri raat 9 baje sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevision and Sony LIV par.”

‘Zanjeer’, directed and produced by Prakash Mehra and written by the iconic duo Salim-Javed, remains one of the most significant films in Indian cinema. Alongside Amitabh, it starred Jaya Bhaduri, Pran, Ajit Khan, and Bindu.

The film marked the beginning of a long-lasting collaboration between Salim-Javed and Big B. This led to many more hits like ‘Deewaar’ and ‘Sholay’.

The story revolves around Inspector Vijay, a determined officer suspended from duty, who sets out to solve his parents’ murder. With the help of a street-smart girl and a former enemy who becomes an ally, Vijay seeks justice and revenge.

‘Zanjeer’’s legacy continues even today. In 2013, the film had a remake in Hindi and Telugu (titled ‘Thoofan’), starring Priyanka Chopra and Ram Charan. The remake also featured actors like Sanjay Dutt, Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni, and Mahie Gill.
