Akshay Kumar, the lead actor of Karan Johar’s Kesari, which is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, has begun shooting for the film. After many speculations about the female lead in the movie, Karan finally revealed the name and it’s none other than Parineeti Chopra.

However, Karan Johar was trolled, as instead of Parineeti’s picture, he shared a picture of Akshay Kumar from the film. Karan Johar was trolled for sharing the update with the lead actress picture on twitter.
After few hours, Karan re-announced and updated his status by posting the picture of the actress. He wrote, “Ok guys that was meant to be an image of Kesari whilst announcing the lead actress of the film.”

Parineeti, meanwhile, is thrilled to be associated with the film. She thanked the producers and Akshay for the opportunity.
She had shared Karan’s post and said: “So excited to be a part of this legendary journey!!! Thank you.”
