The teaser of the much-anticipated film Gully Boy was released today showcasing Ranveer Singh’s rap song Asli Hip Hop.
The teaser showcases the journey of a boy of Mumbai streets as he goes on to become one of India’s most notable rappers bent on introducing Indians to ‘asli rap’ — that which talks about the everyday struggle, grit, and determination of the voiceless, the unseen.
It ends with Ranveer saying, “Apna Time Aayega (Our time will come)”.

Indian Rappers Vivian Ka Divine, Emiway Bantai and Raaj Jones took to their social media handles and gave a shoutout to the project.
Gully Boy is a story inspired by slum rapper Vivian of Dharavi, who is one of the most popular voices to emerge from the Mumbai rap scene. The film marks the first collaboration of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt wherein the former will play the role of a street rapper.
The trailer of the film is slated to release on 9 January. Gully Boy, directed by Zoya Akhtar and is produced by Excel Entertainment, will hit the screens on 14 February.
