Considered as the second most prominent award show in Bollywood only after Filmfare, IIFA’s 19th edition is going to be a spectacular event with B-Town’s A-Listers all set to dazzle at the award show.

This edition of IIFA is all set to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from June 22-24.

May 19 marked a special day for the capital as Bollywood celebs like Kartik Aaryan, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar came along to announce the 19th edition of IIFA, which will take place in Thailand, Bangkok.

Like all of its previous edition, this year’s IIFA will also witness the who’s who of the Tinsel Town gracing the event with their presence thus making it even more memorable.

So far, the schedules for IIFA are pretty intriguing as we got to know at the press conference that IFFA Rocks will be hosted by Ayushmann Khurrana and joining him will be Kartik, who is finally returning to work after the commendable success of his last film SKTKS.

Also, the star-studded event will be hosted by Johar and Riteish Deshmukh. Apparently, for Ritiesh this is his fifth IIFA appearance as host.

Now comes the big surprise, it was also confirmed that ladies men Shahid and Ranbir would be performing at the event, isn’t that a treat for all of their female fans?

Ranbir, who will be performing on the stage after quite awhile, said, “I am very nervous when I dance for the live audience as there are no retakes or cuts.”

Shahid, who is considered as one of the most talented dancers of Bollywood, shared some details about his wife and daughter at the press conference. As per reports, the actor is not sure whether his wife and daughter would accompany him to the event in Bangkok.

Talking about his association with IIFA, which dates back to 2000, an emotional Karan said, “I remember my father (Yash Johar) being the part of the first advisory board of IIFA. He sat diligently in an old school way trying to seat movie stars so they would get the right placement. From then to the year 2004 when he was awarded the lifetime achievement award, that particular IIFA in Singapore will always remain special to me.”

On this year’s IFFA and his part of being an host, Karan added, “This year’s IIFA is indeed special. We have a rare appearance from Ranbir, who last performed in IFFA 10 years ago! We have a debutante Kartik Aaryan, who will be hosting the IIFA Rocks. Just like me, there is glamorous Dia Mirza. then there is Shahid, who has been a friend of IFFA and a solid support throughout.”

Later in the conference, when Kartik was asked about his debut at the award show, the recent star of the Rs 100 crore club said, “I am excited to debut as a host at IIFA Rocks this year. As an actor, you always want to be a part of something as big as IIFA, whether to perform or host. IIFA certainly gives you the biggest audience to entertain with your performance and I look forward to hosting a great show.”
