Ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to collaborate with Salman Khan once again — after 19 years. The director and actor duo, who have worked together in Hum Dil Chuke Sanam, will work together again, and this time also it’s going to be a love story.

Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh broke the news on Twitter on Saturday. “Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan reunite after 19 years for a love story… The film is set to go on floors soon,” he wrote.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Bhansali is currently working on the screenplay. “He had discussed the idea with Salman before the release of his last directorial, Padmaavat. Salman is equally excited to collaborate with him,” the report quoted a source as saying.

Prerna Singh, CEO of Bhansali production, confirmed the news. “Yes, Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are reuniting after 19 years for a love story. Their collaboration is the best thing that can happen in terms of story-telling.”

Another trade analyst, Ramesh Bala, revealed the release year of the forthcoming film.

“@BeingSalmanKhan and Ace Dir #SanjayLeelaBhansali are reuniting
after 20 years.. For a love story.. Shoot to start in Sep of this year.. 2020
release.” he tweeted.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan have earlier teamed up for Khamoshi: The Musical, which released in 1996, and Hum Dil Chuke Sanam, for which the director won the Filmfare award. Later, the Race 3 actor also had a special appearance in Bhansali’s film Sawaariya in 2007.
