Ranveer Singh starrer Gully Boy has been earning praises from all quarters. Along with the critics, the audience, too, is showering love on the musical drama as can be gauged from the collections of the film. The Zoya Akhtar directorial, which narrates the story of street rappers of Mumbai, has witnessed a phenomenal run at the Box Office so far.

Sharing the latest collections of Gully Boy, trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter writing: “#GullyBoy catches speed… Crosses ₹ 50 cr… Metros excellent, driving the biz… Mass belt/Tier-2 cities improve… Day 4 [Sun] should be huge again… ₹ 70 cr+ *extended* weekend on cards… Thu 19.40 cr, Fri 13.10 cr, Sat 18.65 cr. Total: ₹ 51.15 cr. India biz.”

The film critic also shared some details of the overseas business of the film in his subsequent tweet.

“There’s a line of thought *within the industry* that Mumbai-centric films find limited takers #Overseas… #GullyBoy seems to prove this theory wrong… Goes from strength to strength with each passing day…USA-Canada leads, followed by UAE-GCC… Data follows,” he wrote.

The film is inspired by the story of the street rappers of Dharavi, particularly Divine and Naezy.

Gully Boy has Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles – their first film together. The film also features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Kalki Koechlin in key roles. The teaser, trailers, poster, dialogues, and songs of the film are quite intriguing for the audiences.

Co-produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, Gully Boy released in India on 14 February.
