State-wise breakdown: Mixed but positive trends for ‘Dhurandhar’

India’s massive box office is known for its unpredictable nature. This is why ‘Dhurandhar’ is seeing different levels of excitement in different states.

Delhi-NCR leading the pack

The National Capital Region is giving the film its biggest push with around ₹37.25 lakh gross and 6% real occupancy. With over 300 shows, the region has a high number of “almost full” and “filling fast” shows.

Maharashtra close behind

Mumbai and the rest of Maharashtra together have contributed more than ₹34 lakh without block seats and over ₹75 lakh with block seats included. Mumbai’s early occupancy sits at 4%, but the number of shows nearly 600. This means bookings will likely rise as the evening approaches.

Southern states showing steady growth

Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana are giving ‘Dhurandhar’ a warm welcome.

– Bengaluru is one of the best-performing cities with 14% occupancy and tons of shows filling quickly.
– Hyderabad stands at 11% occupancy with multiple IMAX shows heading toward full.
– Chennai is also showing healthy numbers especially for the IMAX format where occupancy is touching 7 to 10% early in the day.

Gujarat and Rajasthan: Slow start but many shows

These states have a large number of screens but lower early occupancy. Gujarat has more than 360 shows and yet only 5% occupancy. Rajasthan stands at 3% but it has several “filling fast” shows.

East and Northeast: Moderate impact

West Bengal, Assam, and Odisha have lower occupancy rates, mostly 2-4%. But this is common for Hindi films that depend more on word-of-mouth in these regions. As the film releases, numbers often grow over the weekend.
