The last month of the year happens to be just for the moviegoers, and the film industry will plan a high dose of entertainment for all this year too. After Zero, Simmba and Total Dhamaal, there is another film that has set its release date in the month of December. The film is the Anupam Kher starrer The Accidental Prime Minister.
Interestingly, the biographical political drama will clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero at the box office. While the makers have not revealed the release date of the film in any of the posters or on social media, Anupam Kher spelt out the date recently.

On the other hand, The Accidental Prime Minister has Anupam Kher playing former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The film is based on a book by Sanjaya Baru, a former media adviser to Manmohan Singh. Akshaye Khanna features as Baru, while Divya Seth Shah plays Manmohan Singh’s wife Gursharan Kaur in the film.
In the past, actors and filmmakers have avoided a clash when two big films were to release on the same date. It remains to be seen if The Accidental Prime Minister’s release date will be shifted to avoid the clash.
