Excitement is building as superstar Diljit Dosanjh gears up for his role in the upcoming war film ‘Border 2’. The makers recently dropped the first look of the Punjabi sensation giving fans a thrilling glimpse of what’s in store.
In the poster, Diljit appears as a fierce air force officer caught in the heat of battle. Sitting inside his aircraft, with bloodied hands and a determined look, he appears ready to face enemies from every direction.
Sharing the image, the makers captioned it: “Iss Desh ke Aasmaan Mein Guru ke Baaz Pehra dete hain #Border2 in cinemas 23rd January, 2026.”
Adding to the buzz, Diljit shared a short clip on social media showing him walking with full confidence in a crisp Air Force uniform. The background score cleverly nods to the iconic ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ track from the original ‘Border’.

Earlier, in November, the makers unveiled the first look of Varun Dhawan from the film. In his poster, Varun is in a tense war scenario, covered in dirt and sweat, dressed in military gear with ammunition strapped across his chest. The caption read, “Border uska farz hai aur Bharat uska pyaar!”
Directed by Anurag Singh, ‘Border 2’ is the highly anticipated sequel to JP Dutta’s 1997 classic ‘Border’. It revolved around the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The new film reportedly draws inspiration from the Kargil war.
The star-studded cast includes Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa.
With a release date set for January 23, 2026, ‘Border 2’ is shaping up to be one of the biggest war dramas of the coming year.
